| Cynosure Elite™ Laser (755nm Alexandrite Laser & 1064nm Nd:YAG Laser) |
|
| |
| The Cynosure Elite™ laser is the most comprehensive laser hair removal system currently available that allows the aesthetic skin care specialist to treat the broadest range of patients, regardless of skin type. The Cynosure Elite™ Laser offers the best of both worlds through its revolutionary technology that combines two optimal wavelengths in one laser system – the 755nm Alexandrite laser and the 1064nm Nd:YAG laser. This allows the most appropriate laser to be used for any given hair or skin type. The 755nm wavelength has high melanin absorption characteristics and proven long-term results for permanent hair reduction. The 1064nm wavelength is the safest for permanent hair reduction on darker skin types and tanned skin. The Cynosure Elite™ laser delivers high fluence through a variety of spot sizes and adjustable pulse durations which allow for customized treatments that ensure deeper penetration, faster treatment sessions, and optimal results for more melanin pigmented patients. The Cynosure Elite™ laser removes unwanted hair with superior efficacy and patient comfort. The Cynosure Elite™ laser is the “Cadillac Model” of the laser hair removal systems. |

| Cynosure TriActive™ LaserDermology (LaserDermology & Cellulite – Diode Laser Treatment System) |
|
| |
| The Cynosure TriActive™ LaserDermology device is an FDA approved laser system for the temporary reduction of cellulite. TriActive™ uses three mechanisms of action in one device: (1) Physicial – Laser; (2) Thermal – Cryotherapy; (3) Mechanical – Rhythmic Massage. TriActive™ treatments may result in a more contoured healthier looking physique by toning and smoothing the skin. Treatment areas include the thighs and buttocks, upper arms, face, neck, and abdomen. TriActive™ is a painless treatment suitable for all body and skin types. During a TriActive™ treatment session, comfortable mechanical massage and rhythmic aspiration gently distend the skin to enhance lymphatic drainage and dermal microcirculation, thereby increasing skin elasticity. Six diode lasers penetrate the dermal tissue to stimulate fibroblasts and collagen production to yield smoother, healthier looking skin. TriActive™ may be used before and after liposculpting procedures such as Tumescent Liposuction and Laser Lipolysis (SmartLipo™ and ProLipo™) to improve lymphatic drainage and accelerate skin tightening. |

| DUSA BLU-U® Blue Light (417nm Narrow Band Blue Light) |
|
| |
| The BLU-U Blue Light offers the physician and aesthetic skin care specialist an effective, all natural, safe, non-invasive, pain-free, no downtime treatment for mild-to-moderate inflammatory acne. Narrow band blue light at a 417nm wavelength activates endogenous photosensitizers within the bacteria that cause acne (P. acnes), thereby allowing the natural process of the body to target acne and clear it naturally. Blue Light acne treatments are appropriate for patients of any age and only require the patient to lie beneath the light for about 15 minutes. Simply close the eyes, relax with some tunes, and allow the Blue Light to begin acne clearing. The usual treatment course using the Blue Light for mild-to-moderate inflammatory acne is twice weekly for 4 weeks, followed by once weekly for an additional 4 weeks. The Blue Light effectively clears 50% of moderate inflammatory acne in 4-8 weeks. Topical keratinolytic agents may be recommended along with Blue Light treatments to clear the skin of dead cell plugs and blackheads. For more severe acne, Blue Light treatments may be combined with the photodynamic therapy (PDT) agent, Levulan. These treatments are quite simple. The face is cleansed with acetone to remove oil from the skin surface. Levulan (aminolevulanic acid, or ALA), a topical photosensitizing agent, is then applied to the face. Skin pores and sebaceous glands absorb the Levulan over 30 to 60 minutes, thereby making these areas more susceptible to the Blue Light treatments which are administered for 8 to 16 minutes. Most patients experience mild sunburn-like redness and/or peeling for a few days after the Blue Light PDT treatments with Levulan. Since the treatment area following topical Levulan will remain ultra-sensitive to sunlight or other intense light sources for up to 48 hours, the patient must avoid sunlight and/or apply a sunscreen with zinc oxide and SPF#30 or higher during this period. Failure to do so can lead to intense redness, sunburn, and peeling that may last for a week or even longer. The usual treatment course using Blue Light PDT therapy with Levulan for more severe inflammatory acne is one treatment session every 2 weeks for a total of 2 to 4 treatments. The BLU-U® Blue Light was cleared by the FDA in 2003 for the treatment of inflammatory acne. |

| Deka (SmartLipo™) Laser (1064nm Nd:YAG Laser) |
|
| |
| The Deka laser (distributed by Cynosure) provides the cosmetic laser surgeon with a minimally invasive liposculpting technique to destroy fat cells, remodel dermal collagen, and induce tissue tightening. The Deka laser uses an attached small laser fiber and cannula to deliver laser energy directly to subcutaneous fat cells (causing them to rupture) and to dermal collagen (causing collagen shrinkage and subsequent tissue tightening). The emitted laser energy coagulates tiny blood vessels to reduce overall bleeding, swelling and bruising. The laser lipolysis procedure is performed using tumescent local anesthesia, thereby avoiding the myriad of side effects associated with general anesthesia and intravenous conscious sedations. |

| Thermage ThermaCool™ System (Delivering a unique type of radiofrequency) |
|
| |
| The Thermage system utilizes a patented monopolar capacitive radiofrequency device that deploys deep, uniform, volumetric heating to tighten both skin and underlying tissue. The Thermage system is available only to physicians specializing in cosmetic surgery and aesthetic skin care. Thermage is a safe, clinically proven way to tighten and contour skin, with improvements in tone, contour, and texture occurring naturally through the stimulation of collagen. Thermage is completely non-invasive—no surgery, no injections. A single treatment tightens existing collagen and stimulates new collagen growth. Improvements after a Thermage treatment are both immediately visible and continue for up to six months. Results can last for years depending on the skin condition and aging process. Unlike lasers, Thermage works on all skin types and skin tones. Unlike dermal fillers, Thermage works on the entire face—forehead, eyes, nasolabial folds, jaw line, jowls, and the area under the chin. What’s more, there is not downtime—so you can immediately resume your daily routine. So, if you no longer recognize the face looking back at you in the mirror, it’s time to learn how Thermage can help you look as young as you feel. Thermage is FDA approved for the non-invasive treatment of wrinkles and rhytids. |
