Hogue Vein Institute
The Hogue Vein Institute has been a specialty medical practice devoted to therapeutic vein care since 2004. Our goal has always been to provide the safest and most effective comprehensive vein treatment program possible, while providing the best customer service and overall patient experience. After an initial vein consultation, we develop and recommend a customized treatment plan for each patient designed to treat their specific venous condition. We are confident we can alleviate each of our patient's varicose vein symptoms, improve the look and feel of their legs, and thereby improve the quality of their life through vein health.
In 2005, the American Medical Association (AMA) recognized Phlebology as a self-designated specialty for physicians who have devoted their practices to vein treatment. Our physicians are recognized as vein specialists (Phlebologists) by the AMA. A physician with a different specialty may be treating veins as a minor part of a much larger practice. Our Phlebologists are all Board Certified with the American Board of Phlebology, and are certified by the ARDMS as Registered Vascular Technologists (RVTs), as well as being active Members of the American College of Phlebology.
At the Hogue Vein Institute, we have performed over 5,000 endovenous laser ablation (EVLA) procedures, which is more than any other vein clinic in Minnesota or North Dakota. Our patients achieve outstanding results with the innovative treatment techniques we have developed. Our treatment techniques consist of a "continuum of therapy approach" utilizing endovenous laser ablation initially, followed by ultrasound-guided foam sclerotherapy and visual sclerotherapy treatments done in follow up to chemically ablate residual incompetent vein varicosities. Physicians from across the country visit our clinics to receive advanced phlebology training from our Phlebologists and to learn from our expertise. Our success rate in achieving and maintaining shrinkage and collapse of the veins we have treated by endovenous laser ablation is nearly 100%. Our vein clinic also has an impeccable safety record. Very few clinics offering vein care, including the conglomerate medical centers, can match our results in treatment outcome and patient safety. Our Phlebologists spend 40-60 hours per week treating nothing but veins. We believe we have set the mark for others to follow. We are committed to raising and upholding the "standard of care" for those physicians practicing as Phlebologists in Minnesota and North Dakota.
